We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for detail and an eagerness to collaborate with other people while learning about email marketing systems. This is an entry level role that requires you to work with a revolutionary online communications system. ThinData is a permission-based, full-service email marketing company that has been delivering email programs since 1999 and represents some of Canada’s most recognized brands.

Responsibilities

  • Perform website/email content related updates, additions, and publishing for client review
  • Assist in building excellent designs and layouts, in a challenging, fast paced environment
  • Review and troubleshoot email content, personalization, and URL link issues
  • Ensure all website/email content (HTML code) is clean, and complies with accessibility guidelines
  • Work within the team to load HTML/TEXT content into the ThinData EMS (Email Marketing System) for deployment
  • Perform email content testing for our supported email clients such as MS Outlook, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. perfecting emails prior to deployment
  • Provide timely status updates to internal clients that detail both the results of implemented projects and the status of projects underway
  • Work within an existing process framework while applying the client’s unique needs to each customized project
  • Develop HTML code from scratch
  • Create simple ASP scripts to dynamically display email content
  • Required to create ASP script using VB script

Qualifications

  • BA or BS
  • 1-2 years HTML programming experience; with the ability to hand code
  • Basic design knowledge
  • Knowledge of web markup or scripting languages: HTML hand coding, XHTML and ASP
  • Some experience in graphic design, PhotoShop, Illustrator
  • Understanding of core web standards and technologies including browser capabilities and limitations with an emphasis on email clients
  • Knowledge of email/site architecture and web graphics
  • Proofreading and/or Quality Assurance/Testing ability
