Project Manager

ShareThisAs a Project Manager with ThinData, you will work with our professional team of account managers, programmers and creative staff to execute innovative email marketing and web-based marketing programs on behalf of our clients.
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects and will act as the primary internal/team contact for all custom client work. Working with well-defined policies and procedures, you will lead the planning, directing, monitoring, adjusting and controlling of projects. You will be required to identify scope, resource availability, resource expertise, budget constraints and deadlines.

Key Accountabilities and Essential Functions Include:
- Manage projects assigned by Senior Project Manager
- Manage projects assigned by Director of Project Management and Client Solutions
- Facilitate quoting on custom application development projects
- Manage documentation including technical diagrams and wire-frames
- Produce daily/weekly/monthly project status reports on all projects being managed Interface with the client as needed
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Responsible for pulling in the appropriate resources at the appropriate times to accomplish engagement objectives.
- Responsible for securing supporting documentation for projects, including post-maintenance of the projects.
- Seek customer feedback during and immediately after engagements. Act on feedback in a timely manner as required.
- Proactively take initiative to understand other ThinData suite of products.
- Show a commitment to continual self-improvement in order to learn and stay current with project management methodologies
- Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- Work both independently and in a team environment.
- Maintain open and smooth communication path through effective collaboration with other operating ThinData groups
- Responsible for maintaining projects with a positive, can do, attitude
- Ability to capture client requirements including setting agendas, leading meetings, and publishing meeting minutes.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of project management experience in Web, Interactive Agency or IT industry
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Formal education in project management an asset
- Experience developing project scope and quotes for projects
- Effective time-management skills and ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Understands quality management, risk management and mitigation
- Clear understanding of software development life cycles, relational databases, and web technologies
- Understanding of Database Marketing - Segmentations and counts, list queries, campaign management
- Strong understanding of online communication and online technologies.
- Experience working and communicating with clients
- Ability to translate clients’ business objectives into technical solutions
- Effective client relationship management and demonstrated experience in a client-facing role

Skills:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft business products -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project
- Understands basic computer systems, hardware and software
- Basic understanding of common internet protocols, SQL, .Net framework or ASP
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written
